This is my corner of the internet and has been since 2002, though it has taken many forms during that time. I am a software developer and engineer who currently lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
Currently, I work for the University of Washington as a software developer and technical lead for the Infrastructure Software Tools team. I also manage the Developer and Integration Tools team. (Note: nothing that I put on this here website represents the University’s views or opinions and I speak only for myself.)
I primarily do backend development with Python, Perl, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Redis, and too many other things to list. (I’ll make web interfaces if I have to.) I have a proven track record of modernizing and standardizing legacy systems and bringing them into maintainable states. I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
Many, many years ago people paid me to do public relations and spot news photography. As such I still really get a kick out of taking photographs. However, now my photographs primarily consist of my dog and the tops of mountains. Alas, technology is my bailiwick now.
